The bridal salon really wanted to play games with us about the bridesmaid dresses. We ordered them in PLENTY of time, and they weren't shipped until June 29th. They said it takes 7-14 days to get here (where are they shipping from, timbucktoo?! <.g>), and they weren't here until this week. That's why hugely more than 7-14 days! So now we have tonight to take the dress and find shoes and undergarments before the girls have their fitting tomorrow because the seamstress is going on vacation. UGH!
I had my last fitting on my dress, and she had taken out the sides a little and they looked like gills. They looked totally stupid, so she's putting them back the way they were. She says that as long as I stand up straight, the dress should be fine, but maybe to put some special double sided tape (resQ?) on my shoulders. I was hoping she'd make the straps a teeny bit shorter. The dress will be steamed and ready for me to pick up on the 11th before 6. So we'll pick it up between getting flowers and getting manicures :-) (which we need to schedule!)
Stuff is really getting done - just not QUITE fast enough for me :-> The lists are still long!
