WHAT'S A PLACE SETTING?
A basic place setting is comprised of five pieces: dinner plate, salad/dessert plate, bread and butter plate, cup, and saucer. Start with either eight or 12 place settings, depending on your entertainment plans. If you're registering for china, try for all 12. Your wedding china is meant to last a lifetime, and you'll have holiday dinners with the grandkids somewhere down the line.

We plan to register this weekend, and that requires a great deal of coordination to be ready to do that. I know what place settings we want (Pfaltzgraaf's April) and what larger appliances (in green :-) and a breadmaker) and knifes, but I don't have pans (my fav infomercial ones <.smirk.>) or stemware or silverware picked out, moreless the linen and other small things that need to be added to the list. While surfing through JCPennys (where we are registering) site, I found several good things, though - Mix and Measure set. That looks cool. There's a set of glass cassorole dishes that are lavender at our JCPennys and I like those, too :-) I started out with medium quality, small things for my kitchen, but now we need more. So my registering is focusing on the kitchen, I guess :-) New linen for the new bed is a must, but if we can't decide on one soon, we'll worry about it later. Once we register, I'll make sure to let ya know how it all turned out :-)
