The bridal salon really wanted to play games with us about the bridesmaid dresses. We ordered them in PLENTY of time, and they weren't shipped until June 29th. They said it takes 7-14 days to get here (where are they shipping from, timbucktoo?! <.g>), and they weren't here until this week. That's why hugely more than 7-14 days! So now we have tonight to take the dress and find shoes and undergarments before the girls have their fitting tomorrow because the seamstress is going on vacation. UGH!
I had my last fitting on my dress, and she had taken out the sides a little and they looked like gills. They looked totally stupid, so she's putting them back the way they were. She says that as long as I stand up straight, the dress should be fine, but maybe to put some special double sided tape (resQ?) on my shoulders. I was hoping she'd make the straps a teeny bit shorter. The dress will be steamed and ready for me to pick up on the 11th before 6. So we'll pick it up between getting flowers and getting manicures :-) (which we need to schedule!)
Stuff is really getting done - just not QUITE fast enough for me :-> The lists are still long!

I'm working on the candle sets for the centerpieces. We need 14 sets, and I think this is how they will go:
The color is the predominate color, but there may be some subs because I have some mixed colors in places
1 tall taper/holder - purple
2 short taper/holder - white
1 pillar/plate? - white
1 large votive/cup-glass - yellow or purple
2 votives/holder - silver

When I set that up, it looks really nice. There will be about 2 feet of an ivy vine with small purple flowers attached to it, and it will be wound around the bottoms of these candles. Oh, and as I've mentioned before, there will be flower petals all down the entire tables, which will have white table clothes on them. Oh, I do have the reception room mapped out... wanna see?

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaccck and in full swing with my planning! My to do list is being revised, my master schedule of when things must be done is getting completed, and I'm definately in the wedding mindset! It's crazy, though - I only have 17 days to get everything done!!!

I've been spending a lot of time confirming things with vendors since I've been back since Tuesday evening. So far, I've found out that they still have the satin ballet slippers for me to try on, Megan's accompaniment CD is now in, our bridesmaid dresses are now in <.phew!.>, my wedding band is being sized, and the Bible for the biblegirl is in! I still have a few more calls to make today :-)

The next major plan is mapping out the the to do list into the days that are left to do them. Its only a week until Eric's parents arrive, and that's the starts of our wedding craziness. So the major things need to be done by then, however impossible that is seeming!

I'll try to keep posting as I try to be organized :-)

Well, this is the day that I leave for Florida. Many of my lists were based on BF and AF - Before Florida and After Florida! I'm pretty happy to say that much of the BF stuff is done :-)

I have quite a few phone calls to make today to confirm and make sure everything is happy before I leave, but I'm feeling pretty good about my todo list, which is getting pretty nicely checked off :-)

Its sure gonna be hard to be without my computer and without things to work on for a week, though! I've had such a fun time lately getting good ideas on my wedding lists, and now I'll have to turn them to digest and miss out on all the fun stuff until later. And besides that, how will I update my to do list without seeing it? LOL! If I'm lucky, I'll be able to check my mail on my uncles laptop :-) That'd be cool :-)

Today is the 13th. I'm getting married August 13th!!! That's only a month away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so lucky. I just have to share how excited I am with my life right now. Its so exciting to be with the man I love, planning my wedding and my future! It may be a hectic part of my life, but inside, I'm loving every second :-)

Something that I wanted to remind myself is to map out how the people will stand for the ceremony and how the procession/recession will go. :-)

Last week was super productive. I made my to do list look like a scratchy pad with notes and crosses offs and stuff. Makes me very excited!
Yesterday, we went and picked out wedding bands :-) We went with white gold to match the engagment ring (of course <.giggle.>) and we think they will be beautiful :-)
I also placed my final order for our flowers from freshroses and that should be confirmed tomorrow, I think :-)
Let's see, we went to find ballet slippers on Thursday night at Lloyd Center, but they had to order some so I'll have to go back to try a 7 1/2 or an 8 on. I think they will look pretty and make my feet comfy at least <.giggle.> Its gonna be hot in my dress, so I didn't think I needed to have to worry about my feet being uncomfortable!
Wednesday, we found a friend who was willing to take pictures. I'm excited to finally have that taken care of :-)
I am planning on scheduling a trial run on my hair with Megan and Tiffany, who has graciously agreed to be my personal assistant for the wedding day :-) This should happen sometime next week. Then I'll know how to put together my veil - if I put my hair up, I'll have my veil come from the back of my head, and if I wear it down, it'll be attached right behind my tiara. My friend Heidi showed me how she did her veil, and that gave me more of a clue of how to put mine on a comb :-)
I got to go to a great bridal shower last night for my friend Jennifer. It was wonderful to be around old friends again. It makes me miss being able to have people to hang out with... I'm hoping that some of these friends can make it to my wedding :-)
I got to see Karen (my reception coordinator) this weekend briefly too ;-) She is planning on coming for my whole wedding weekend, and I am very excited about that - She's a good friend, and I wouldn't want to have my wedding without her around :-)
